Insider: Blizzard has a big announcement for Diablo 4 at The Game Awards 2022
Well-known insider Tom Henderson has confirmed: Blizzard is preparing a loud announcement related to Diablo 4 at The Game Awards 2022.
Here's What We Know
According to Henderson, more than 100 journalists have already been able to see the behind-the-scenes presentation and get a chance to try Diablo 4. They were personally invited by the game's maker, Rod Fergusson, who hinted that more information would emerge during TGA.
Most likely, the developers will announce the release date of the long-awaited action-RPG and announce the start of pre-orders for Diablo 4. Maybe the developers will present the collector's edition of the game and announce the open beta.
The big announcements are early access to open beta with pre-orders. Also, collector's edition which has some kind of... candle? Not 100% sure what that is.

I wrote April 2023 for launch but now I think that mighta been a runway/target launch window, with an 8 week variance.
When We Can Expect It
Insiders have previously reported that Diablo 4 will be released in April 2023. But the other day analyst and journalist Jez Corden said that the launch date could be pushed back by 8 weeks.
The Game Awards 2022 show starts in Los Angeles on the evening of December 8 (1:30 CET Dec. 9).
