Ubisoft offered users several options for transferring progress in their games from Google Stadia to other platforms

After the announcement of the closure of the cloud-based gaming service Google Stadia, Ubisoft promised to come up with a way to preserve the progress made by gamers in their games and transfer it to other platforms.

The French developer has kept his word and offered several solutions to the problem.

Here's What We Know

  • Until the closure of cloud service Stadia, which will occur on January 18, 2023, players will receive free copies of projects in Ubisoft Connect;
    Progress will be transferred in full, but without in-game currency, so it is recommended to spend it before turning off Stadia.
  • players from the U.S. will be able to transfer progress to a similar service Amazon Luna and continue playing there;
  • Ubisoft + Multi-Access subscribers to Stadia will receive an additional month of subscriptions,
  • all Stadia players who have Ubisoft games will receive a discount on a six-month Ubisoft + Multi-Access subscription;
  • all gamers of Ubisoft projects on Stadia will receive a one-month priority subscription to the GeForce NOW cloud service.

Ubisoft has already started adding games from Stadia to Ubisoft Connect.

Unfortunately, progress on Family Feud, Just Dance 2020, Just Dance 2021, Just Dance 2022 and Trivial Pursuit Live! 2 cannot be transferred.
