Total sales of Tomb Raider franchise games have exceeded 95 million copies!

In a press release about the partnership between Crystal Dynamics Studios and Amazon Games, the developers announced that total sales of the Tomb Raider franchise exceeded 95 million copies!

The Tomb Raider franchise includes more than 12 main games and several spin-offs. It has been loved by about 170 million people worldwide. More than 95 million copies have been sold since the first installment was released in 1996.

The Amazon gaming division will publish the next installment of the popular action-adventure game, which Crystal Dynamics studio is currently working on.

The game is created on the Unreal Engine 5 and is designed as a traditional story-oriented project for the series. This aspect is a little bit out of the concept of Amazon Games, which previously released only multiplayer games.

When We Can Expect It

The release date is unknown, but it is unlikely that the new part of Tomb Raider will be released before 2026.
