Critics were not happy with Forspoken. Square Enix action game gets low ratings on aggregators
Tomorrow - January 24 - the fantasy action game Forspoken from the studio Luminous Production will be released.
Before you buy the game, it's worth paying attention to the opinion of critics, which have already appeared on the aggregators, and, alas, their estimates are not in favor of the newest Square Enix project.
Here's What We Know
On Metacritic the PS5 version of Forspoken got only 68 points, and there are still no reviews on the PC-version, which suggests poor optimization. That is probably why it was not given to journalists.
The action has 69 points on Opencritic.
Judging by the comments of critics, Forspoken can not be called a bad or failed game. The word "secondary" best describes the reviewers' opinion. In Forspoken there is a boring plot and additional tasks, unfinished combat system, uninteresting characters and "dead" open world. The developers tried to rely on unusual gameplay, but even here they failed: it looks fresh, but is not able to amaze even on closer look.
Forspoken also has interesting moments. Critics liked the parkour system, visual effects and art design.
Forspoken will be released on January 24 only on PC and PlayStation 5.
