Rockstar Games has officially admitted: GTA Online players are in danger of becoming victims of hackers. The developers are already busy fixing the problem
A few days ago it became known that the PC-version of Grand Theft Auto Online players are at risk of becoming victims of hackers.
Here's What We Know
Attackers have found a way not only to manipulate game statistics and delete user accounts, but also to gain access to players' personal data. Finally, Rockstar Games has officially acknowledged the problem and said that they are working on fixing existing and potential exploits. The developers are asking everyone, who personally encountered problems with GTA Online, to report them to the Rockstar Technical Support.
Until the studio has fixed the situation, the most reasonable solution is not to enter the game.
We are aware of potential new exploits in GTA Online for PC, which we aim to resolve in an upcoming planned security-related Title Update.
