Obsidian once had plans to create a Rick and Morty game

In a recent interview with NME, Obsidian Entertainment CEO Fergus Urquhart told a lot of interesting things about the studio, including the fact that it wanted to develop a game based on the Rick and Morty cartoon series.

Here's What We Know

In the interview itself, Urquhart didn't say what the game was supposed to be, but we know that the project was postponed until "better times" after Microsoft acquired the studio. Given Obsidian's previous work on games based on animated series (South Park: The Stick of Truth), we can assume that a Rick and Morty game would be a parody of the cartoon's art style to fully recreate the atmosphere of the show.

Perhaps the fact that the project did not work out is even better, considering the whole mess that is currently happening with the creator of the series, Justin Roiland, who has been accused of domestic violence.
