Insider: The Coalition has started development on the sixth instalment of the Gears series

In the latest edition of the Game Mess Mornings podcast, insider Jeff Grubb revealed that studio The Coalition has started development on the sixth installment of the Gears series (originally known as Gears of War).

Here's What We Know

According to Grubb, The Coalition had two projects in development before working on the new shooter in the popular franchise, but for some reason they had to cancel them.

Active development on Gears 6 started last year, according to Jeff Grubb.

Even a rough release date for Gears 6 has not been given yet, but it is unlikely that the game will be released before 2025.
