A new installment of the racing simulator Gran Turismo is already in development, says the head of studio Polyphony Digital

Kazunori Yamauchi, the developer of the popular racing simulator Gran Turismo, has hinted that he is already working on the eighth installment of the series.

In an interview with Game Watch, the Japanese game designer and Polyphony Digital studio's head was asked if he had any ideas that his team wasn't able to implement yet, and he answered the following:

Actually, yes. I'm already starting work on the next game. I wish I could tell you more about it.

As a reminder, the corresponding version of Gran Turismo 7 will be released on February 22 - the day the new virtual reality headset PS VR2 launches.
