From now on, EA Originals support is available not only for indie studios, but also for AAA projects

The head of EA Originals, a brand that supports independent developers, Jeff Gamon, has said that their offer can now be used not only by indie studios for their smaller projects, but also by developers of big-budget games.

EA Originals provides funding and technical opportunities to game developers.

Once a project has recouped its costs, EA Originals stops receiving money from its sales, and all the remaining profits and rights to the game remain with the developers. The result is something akin to an interest-free loan.

Josef Fares took advantage of this opportunity to make his acclaimed game It Takes Two. The result is a real hit, voted Best Game of 2021, and the developers recently reported that the game has sold more than 10 million copies.

From 2023 the EA Originals offer is available to all developers who need support and get the chance to repeat the success of Fares.
