Bethesda has announced a new game based on the DOOM universe, but there's a catch!
Anyone who has been through DOOM Eternal probably remembers the cute figures of hellish monsters and the Executioner of Doom (Doom Slayer), which were collector's items.
Bethesda has decided to develop this idea and announced a mobile side-scroller shooter with roguelite elements called Mighty DOOM. It is being developed by Alpha Dog Games, the creator of mobile games Wraithborne and MonstroCity: Rampage.
Here's What We Know
The project is entirely in a toy style and does not pretend to be serious.
The setting is light, comic in nature and the storyline revolves around a bunny rabbit named Daisy being hurt by demons, and the Executioner of Doom being forced to seek justice and punish the monsters.
Mighty DOOM will feature dynamic gameplay with an overhead view, a variety of upgrades for the main character, challenging bosses and a lot of references to previous episodes of the iconic franchise.
When We Can Expect It
Mighty DOOM will be released on March 21st on iOS and Android. Users can already pre-register.
