ARK 2, a survival game set in the world of dinosaurs, has been postponed until the end of 2024
ARK 2, the sequel to the dinosaur survival fantasy game ARK: Survival Evolved, will be released only at the end of 2024, instead of the previous date of around 2023.
Here's What We Know
The main reason for the delay is that the developers need additional time to adapt to Unreal Engine 5 and optimise the game for the next generation. The team aims to deliver not only improved gameplay, but also cross-platform modding, cross-platform multiplayer, and a new account system. All of these features require an extraordinary amount of technical work.
In addition to the aforementioned features, the development team also wants to incorporate ARK technology into the game: Survival Ascended technology, which is a kind of "intermediary" between Unreal Engine 5 and the game. Thanks to this, they will be able to create other features in the game that they would like to see there.

Another reason hinted at in the report is that ARK 2 is very different from the Evolved game in terms of both tone and mechanics. It features Souls-like combat, only primitive weapons, and a strictly third-person perspective, which is quite different from the first game, which had a first-person perspective and modern firearms.
ARK 2 will be available on Xbox Series and PC.
