Long-standing partnership takes things to the next level: Nintendo and DeNa set up a joint company to develop mobile games and apps
Nintendo and DeNa have signed a joint venture to form Nintendo Systems, which will develop mobile games and service applications for the Nintendo ecosystem.
The Japanese giant will become the largest shareholder, owning 80% of Nintendo Systems' capital, and will have full control over the new company.
It is worth noting that this is not the first joint project between Nintendo and DeNa, they have developed mobile games before:
Building on seven years of experience in jointly developing numerous services based on Nintendo Account, Nintendo and DeNA will further develop their partnership. In an effort to strengthen the digitalisation of Nintendo's business, the joint venture will conduct research and development and provide additional services to further strengthen Nintendo's relationship with consumers.
