The first 30 minutes of Dead Island 2 gameplay appeared online

It seems that the developers of Dead Island 2 can't avoid leaks of information about their game - the first 30 minutes of gameplay have appeared on the Internet.

Here's What We Know

The video begins with a cinematic sequence that shows zombies attacking a city bus and a commercial airliner, both of which are leaving a zombie-infested Los Angeles.

The action then cuts to the character selection screen, which shows images, stats and abilities of the six players that can be chosen in the game - Jacob, with his high maximum health, Bruno, who delivers critical hits, Carla, who is resilient, Dani, who is tough, Ryan, who is reliable and Amy, who is agile. The player chooses Jacob, who wakes up among the overturned wreckage, pulls a piece of metal out of his stomach wound and crawls to safety.

After that, the real action begins - Jacob starts to fight the crowd of zombies with a homemade metal blade, a huge silver hammer and his bare hands. But he ends up getting bitten when he tries to do the right thing, and then wakes up outside the mansion and spends about the second half of the video beating up zombies both inside and outside the mansion.

Dead Island 2 is scheduled for release on 21 April for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
