PlayStation Productions is working on a film adaptation of ten hit Sony games at once
Japan's Sony Corporation is clearly adhering to a strategy for the adaptation of its biggest hit games. The release of the first season of The Last of Us was a huge success and showed that game adaptations can be extremely high quality and in demand among audiences.
Here's What We Know
In a recent edition of PlayStation Podcast, PlayStation Productions head Asad Qizilbash revealed that the company is currently working on ten film adaptations.
Asad Qizilbash did not name specific projects, but it is known that work is underway on the adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima, Demon's Souls, the second season of The Last of Us, series on Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and Twisted Metal, and a film on the racing franchise Gran Turismo.
It's been repeatedly reported online that a film adaptation of Days Gone, Gravity Rush, Jak and Daxter and even Bloodborne are in production.
Of course, some of the last four (unconfirmed) projects may turn out to be fake or won't make it to the full production stage. But even that list, which is known, will please Sony's game fans.
