Sony is not plagiarising: the head of PlayStation Studios has assured that the company is not copying popular service games, but is working on unique projects of different genres and themes
Sony has repeatedly stated that its strategy for the gaming market involves releasing multiple service games in addition to traditional single-player projects.
Here's What We Know
The Japanese corporation is working on 10 service games at once, and gamers have been worried whether these games will become clones of existing projects like Fortnite and Destiny.
The head of PlayStation Studios Hermen Hulst gave the interview for Gamesindustry.biz where he emphasized that Sony will not copy the popular games, but will try to release the unique projects of different genres, setting and scale. Moreover, some of them on the day of release will not only be available on the PlayStation, but also immediately available on the PC.
Hermen Hulst did not explain what games PlayStation Studios is working on, so their details will be known only after the official announcements.
