Mortal Kombat developers NetherRealm Studios continue to tease a new installment of the popular fighting game series.
Here's What We Know
The studio has released a short video titled It Is Almost Time, which depicts a clock counting down the time. The hand moves across the dial and as it approaches 12 - time slows down and jumps forward momentarily.
Perhaps the theme of the video shows time travel, which has already happened in the Mortal Kombat series, or maybe it's a way to play with the number of the next part - "12", or maybe, the developers have a hint at the imminent release (or presentation) time.
Recall that Jez Corden previously mentioned that the game will be fully introduced at the PlayStation Showcase, which will be held in late May or early June, with the show yet to be officially announced.
When We Can Expect It
A release date for Mortal Kombat 12 is unknown, but back in February the head of Warner Bros. Discovery's David Zaslav mentioned that the fighting game will release before the end of 2023.
