As promised, CD Projekt RED has released update 4.03 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and it's been bigger than expected.
Here's What We Know
The patch is available on PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles of both generations.
The developers have changed some of the gameplay mechanics of the game, for example, for the sake of realism, players will no longer be able to restore health underwater with food. Only elixirs are available in these situations. Option to automatically apply oils to weapons during battles will appear in game.
Support for Next Gen Script Fixes from user Sergeanur is also added.
Update also touched the technical side of The Witcher 3. In PC version game designers have improved performance and quality of some visual effects, for example, shadows are reflected more realistically.
The game has added support for Intel Xe Super Sampling, which improves performance and image quality through machine learning, as well as improved some elements of ray tracing.
Performance on consoles has also been improved and annoying bugs fixed; frame rates will no longer slip in large cities.
