NetherRealm has unveiled the first Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay trailer and revealed one of the main features of the new fighting game
Summer Game Fest saw the big premiere of the Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay trailer. Its demonstration was accompanied by comments from the franchise creator Ed Boon, who took the stage and shared some interesting facts.
Here's What We Know
The video showed the gameplay, which, in principle, remained unchanged for thirty years: it is still the same fighting game with unique characters, one-on-one fights and cartoonishly brutal blows. But MK1's graphics have become even more advanced.
The main innovation of Mortal Kombat 1 will be the cameo-fighter mechanic, this feature will allow players to call upon the help of one of the franchise's characters, up to the heroes of the very first parts, when filling the special scale.
Ed Boone has confirmed that Jean-Claude Van Damme will voice Johnny Cage.
When We Can Expect It
Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 19 on PC (Steam, EGS), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
