Ubisoft has released the first trailer for Assassin's Creed Nexus VR, confirming the appearance of Ezio, Connor, and Cassandra from previous games in the series
As promised, Ubisoft has released a trailer for the VR project of the Assassin's Creed series - Assassin's Creed Nexus:
Here's What We Know
In the trailer, among other things, you can see several familiar faces: Ezio Auditore, who appeared in Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations; Connor from Assassin's Creed III; and Cassandra from Assassin's Creed Odyssey. These three beloved assassins play the lead roles in an all-new single-player story set in three different time periods.
Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed Nexus focuses on the present-day story, in which Abstergo begins to explore the timelines of the three Assassins. Players will be able to meet Ezio in 15th century Italy, visit Cassandra in Ancient Greece in 400 BC, and experience the American Revolution with Connor in the 18th century.
Since the game takes place in VR, the adventure will be entirely in the first person. However, this is still Assassin's Creed, with large "open worlds" to explore and all the parkour and stealth you'd expect, so Ubisoft promises that the game's various sandbox levels can be completed in any way you see fit. This basically means that when you fail in a spectacular sneak attack and blow your cover, you can get out of the battle.
Ubisoft has also reassured fans that they are working with a "dedicated comfort team" to ensure that even those with virtual reality sensitivities can enjoy Assassin's Creed Nexus. Expect plenty of built-in settings to tailor the game to your preferences.
When We Can Expect It
Assassin's Creed Nexus will launch for the Meta Quest VR headset later this year.
