Xbox Game Studios CEO: New Halo titles to be developed by a different team than the creators of the failed Halo Infinite

Many gamers probably remember the disappointing release of Halo Infinite.

The game was not an outright failure, but the work of studio 343 Industries did not meet the expectations of fans of the franchise.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with Axios, Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty hinted that future installments of Halo will not be developed by 343 Industries, but by an unnamed company.

That said, Matt Booty doesn't rule out the possibility that if the deal with Activision Blizzard is done, new parts of Halo could be developed by teams owned by AB.

It's possible that work on future Halo games will be outsourced to Certain Affinity, the studio that helped develop and support Halo Infinite. This team has a lot of experience with high-end shooters such as Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead and DOOM.
