New ingredients, weapons, items, and support for 60 fps on consoles: The authors of The Long Dark released the third part of the Tales From The Far Territory expansion
The authors of the open-world survival game The Long Dark have announced the release of the third part of the Tales From The Far Territory expansion, which adds new content and support for 60 frames on current-generation consoles and beyond.
Here's What We Know
Seven new ingredients were added to the game, including potatoes, flour, salt, broth, carrots, and others. A recipe system has also appeared that allows you to combine ingredients to create dishes. As for the items, the game has a frying pan, several types of revolvers, bows, and a miner's torch.
We also significantly improved the fishing system and added new fish species. Now you can make your own lures and ice holes and catch Burbot, Goldeye, Red Irish Lord, and Rockfish.
Now for the good news for console players. Although the developers are not going to fully support the console version yet, you can now play the game at 60 fps on Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Flashback
The Long Dark is a first-person survival game where players have to explore post-apocalyptic locations in the open world that were formed after a geomagnetic disaster. There are no zombies or anything like that, but danger still awaits at every turn. In the game, you need to monitor the level of hunger, thirst, fatigue, and cold, trying to balance resources with the energy needed to obtain them. There are also hundreds of items to collect to survive in this cruel world. The Long Dark is available on PC and Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
