Here's What We Know
Riviera, based on Norse mythology, tells the story of Ein, who fights demons to seal the Cursed One. Formerly known as the Grim Angel, Ein sacrificed his wings for his weapon, the Einherjar. He teams up with his friend Rose and his four partners - Fia, Lina, Serene and Cierra. Interaction with these characters affects the development of relationships, leading to different end results.
The gameplay is also unique, as Ein cannot move freely through the areas. Instead, you conduct exploration in viewport mode and interact with trigger points to trigger various events. In combat, you can use two modes - Attack and Magic - and depending on the items and skills of the characters, you can use a variety of ways to fight.
Riviera: The Promised Land was also released for PlayStation Portable in 2007. This version added full voice acting, improved visuals, and more than 50 "remade" scenes.
