Creative Assembly studio has published a new issue of the Development Diary of historical strategy Total War: Pharaoh.
Here's What We Know
This time British game designers paid attention to one of the main features of the game - detailed simulation of weather conditions.
The gameplay of Total War: Pharaoh largely depends on the "weather forecast" in Ancient Egypt:
- heavy rains generate floodwaters, which cause flooding and impede the passage of infantry and chariots;
- sandstorms prevent archers from taking aim;
- persistent heat causes fires that can affect cities and armies;
- strong winds hinder the movement of ships and boats.
In addition, the developers paid attention to the importance of chariots, because in Total War: Pharaoh cavalry is of key importance and is necessary to win battles.
When We Can Expect It
Total War: Pharaoh will be released in October 2023 on PC only.
