At the BitSummit event held this Saturday in Kyoto, the PlayStation team announced the spiritual successor to the rhythmic action simulator Potapon - Ratatan:
Here's What We Know
The project is being developed by Potapon creator Hiroyuki Kotani, and the same musician Kemmei Adachi is responsible for the audio component. The game will be fully funded via Kickstarter, and the campaign is scheduled to launch on 31 July.
The original Poptapon was released for the PlayStation Portable in 2007 and was a rhythmic two-dimensional platformer with action elements in which players controlled an army of cute anthropomorphic characters - "Potapons".
At one time, the game received two sequels for the PSP, as well as a re-release on the PlayStation 4.
