Microsoft has announced that from September 2023, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will go away, and will be replaced by Xbox Game Pass Core.
Here's What We Know
The main change will be the schedule for providing subscribers with new games. So, if in Live Gold players received two games per month, then in Game Pass Core is planned to add large sets of games 2-3 times a year.
Xbox Live Gold and Ultimate subscribers will automatically become customers of the new service.
Game Pass Core will cost $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year.
The first bundle will become available on 14 September and will include the following games:
- Among Us;
- Descenders;
- Dishonoured 2;
- DOOM Eternal;
- Fable Anniversary;
- Fallout 4;
- Fallout 76;
- Forza Horizon 4;
- Gears 5;
- Grounded;
- Halo 5: Guardians;
- Halo Wars 2;
- Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice;
- Human: Fall Flat;
- Inside;
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps;
- Psychonauts 2;
- State of Decay 2;
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
The company warns that the catalogue of games may vary depending on where the customer lives.
