En Garde!, an action-adventure game about a fencer that was originally a student project, will be released on PC on 16 August

Fireplace Games has announced that the fencing game En Garde! will be released on PC on 16 August 2023.

The studio announced this in a short trailer that showed several bright shots of the gameplay and the release date.

Flashback

In 2018, En Garde! was made by only 8 students for their graduation project, but now it has grown into a full-fledged game created by 13 people.

En Garde! is a third-person action-adventure game that tells the story of Adalia de Volador, a legendary daredevil. The main feature of the game is the heroine's weapon, a sword, which is used in most of the battles. It also features acrobatics, environmental elements and special skills that add variety to the gameplay.

The game made it to the top 20 most popular demos at the Summer Steam Festival 2023, which shows the great interest of gamers in the project. More information about the game can be found on the Steam page.
