The developers of the city-building simulator Cities: Skylines II from Colossal Order studio released another video about the nuances of the game.

Here's What We Know

In the new issue of the Development Diary the game designers paid attention to the climate and the influence of weather conditions on the life of the metropolis.

In Cities: Skylines II almost all weather phenomena will be implemented, but they will be much more predictable than in reality.

Each map has individual weather conditions and climatic features, but all of them correspond to real places on Earth.

Weather directly affects the needs of the city and the behaviour of the citizens. For example, in hot weather people prefer to visit parks and beaches, in snow - the amount of work of public utilities increases, in rainy weather - more customers in restaurants and cafes. The number of cars on the roads also depends on weather conditions.

Depending on the time of day and season, the load on power grids changes.

Natural cataclysms sometimes hit the City, which leads to complication of economic and humanitarian situation. Abnormal natural conditions must be adequately and timely responded to in order to avoid far-reaching negative consequences.

When We Can Expect It

Cities Skylines 2 will be released on 24 October on MS, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
