Garmin Vivoactive 5: a smartwatch with 11 days of battery life and workouts for wheelchair users

The Garmin company has pleased its users with another novelty and presented the Vivoactive 5 smart watch.

Here's What We Know

The model is available in one size - 42 mm. It is equipped with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390×390 pixels, Always-On function and protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a battery life of up to 11 days, but it drops to 21 hours when GPS is always-on.

The watch tracks your activity, assesses your energy level (Body Battery function), physical fitness and so-called fitness age. In addition, Garmin Vivoactive 5 monitors your health: it measures your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress, sleep duration and quality, women's calendar, etc. One of the innovations is a "wheelchair mode" with weight change alerts and specialised workouts.

Also announced are 5ATM water protection and the ability to make contactless payments with Garmin Pay.

The Garmin Vivoactive 5 is available in four colours (black, white, blue and lilac) and costs $300.
