Honor 90 - Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, 120Hz AMOLED display and 200MP camera from $355
Together with the Honor 90 Pro, a standard next-generation model has been announced. There are many similarities between the smartphones, but the key parameters are different.
Here's What We Know
The Honor 90 features an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, brightness up to 1600 nits and a 6.7" diagonal. The resolution is 1200 x 2664 pixels. The smartphone gets a single 50MP selfie camera, so instead of an oval pod, the usual compact round cutout is used.
The main camera has gotten worse. It retains the 12MP and 200MP sensors (Samsung ISOCELL HP3, 1/1.4", f/1.9). However, instead of a telephoto lens, the standard edition got a useless 2 MP image sensor for background blur.
Another step backwards compared to the Pro version is the processor. The Honor 90 got the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 instead of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The RAM and on-board memory capacities haven't changed (to 16/512GB), nor has the battery capacity (5000mAh), but the fast charging capacity has been reduced from 90W to 66W.
The Honor 90 measures 161.9 x 74.1 x 7.8mm and weighs 183g. The smartphone has NFC, USB-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and will go on sale with MagicUI 7.1 pre-installed firmware based on Android 13.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Honor 90 will be available in China from June 7, 2023 in green, black, blue (Ice Feather Blue) and silver body colours. There are no differences from the Pro version here. You can check out the prices below:
