Honor Magic 6 Pro: 180 MP camera, up to 5000 nits display and satellite support for $800

Today Honor held a presentation in China and introduced a new flagship line of smartphones Magic 6. In this article we will talk about the senior model - Honor Magic 6 Pro.

Here's What We've Seen

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.8-inch curved OLED display LTPO with a resolution of 2800×1280 pixels and adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. Peak brightness is 1600 nits in auto mode, but the manufacturer also claims an impressive 5000 nits for HDR content. The display is also protected by a durable Giant Rhinoceros Glass with 10x drop resistance, which guarantees the durability of the gadget.

The tablet-shaped selfie camera consists of a 50-megapixel sensor and an optional TOF module for face unlocking. The main camera includes a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 180 MP periscopic lens with 2.5x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom and optical image stabilisation, and a 50 MP primary sensor with intelligent adjustable aperture (f/1.4-f/2.0) and OIS.

Inside, there's a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 5,600mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. The smartphone runs MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. Apart from this, there's IP68 water resistance, satellite support (in China), IR port, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3.
