Lockdown Mode is added to iOS 16 Beta 3

Apple has released the third beta version of iOS 16. A lot of changes have been added to it, including a new mode of operation - Lockdown Mode.

What is it?

This is a mode that activates the maximum level of security on the smartphone. When enabled, most apps and web services on the iPhone will be inaccessible. Users will not be able to open links and photos from unknown users.

It also restricts certain FaceTime and iMessage features, and will disable configuration profiles and wired connections when the device is locked. All these measures should prevent hackers from attacking and stealing data from the smartphone. According to Apple, the new mode protects against all known spyware. To activate Lockdown Mode, you will need to reboot your device.
