Bad luck: a customer ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max from Apple and received a cheap Chinese Android knockoff

One Reddit user has shared his unpleasant story of buying a new iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Details

A man ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max, but received a low-quality Chinese fake instead. You will say that such situations, alas, happen often, and you will be right. But this time the purchase was made directly on the official Apple website.

So, a UK resident ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max directly from Apple. Afterwards, he received confirmation emails from the company with tracking data from the delivery partner. But upon opening the box, the man discovered that it wasn't an iPhone 15 Pro Max at all.

The phone was visually different from the original iPhone. It was given IPS display instead of OLED, a rather wide "chin" and a protective film, which Apple never glues on the screens. When switched on, it turned out that the smartphone runs on Android, which is disguised as iOS, and made quite poorly.

The buyer immediately contacted the support service, where he was promised to find out what happened. Most likely, the man will soon be sent a real iPhone 15 Pro Max. It can be assumed that the gadget was switched to a fake at the delivery stage.
