Kingdom Come: Deliverance II works great on consoles - Digital Foundry experts named the best platform for playing the game

Tomorrow - on the 4th of February - the release of the promising role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will take place.

The new project from Czech studio Warhorse will please with excellent graphics, huge open world and high detail of each location. There is a fear in the gamer community that such a game will be poorly optimised for consoles and not the most powerful PCs, but it seems that the developers took care of the technical component of the project.

Here's What We Know

Digital Foundry specialists studied all console versions of the game in detail and came to the conclusion that on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X the game works quite stable and does not cause problems.

Obviously, on a powerful PC the situation will be even better, but console gamers should not be afraid of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II incorrect work. The game demonstrates stable performance and decent graphics quality on all consoles.

Experts have stated that the game produces the following indicators:

Xbox Series S

  • without mode selection: 1080p at 30FPS

Xbox Series X

  • Quality mode: 1440p at 30FPS;
  • Performance mode: 1080p at 60FPS with VRR

PlayStation 5

  • "Quality" mode: 1440p at 30FPS;
  • Performance mode: 1080p at 60FPS with VRR

PlayStation 5 Pro

  • with no mode selection: 1296p at 60FPS with VRR.

Notably, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II runs best on the base version of the PS5, and even with VRR enabled, it has a few frames advantage over the PS5 Pro.
