The End: Universal Pictures is finally leaving the Russian market and closing its office
The famous Hollywood studio Universal Pictures has decided to finally say goodbye to Russia.
What does this mean?
According to the Telegram channel "Booker's Bulletin," citing sources within the company, Universal Pictures is leaving the Russian market and closing its office. The studio sent the following message to a number of cinemas:
"The parent company has decided to cease operations in Russia, as it has become impossible to conduct business due to the many difficulties faced by foreign companies."
Recall that back in March, after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, major Hollywood film companies, including Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and Paramount, announced the suspension of distribution in Russia. However, the local Disney office, for example, although not working, is not closed.
