How Marvel is adjusting to the strikes: It's being reported that many anticipated shows won't be released this year - dates announced for Disney+'s Marvel series

Marvel Studios is revising its television project calendar with new dates for "What If...?", "Echo" and "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries". The release date for the "X-Men '97" series has also been changed.

Here's What We Know

The writers' strike has severely impacted production and development of the series, and has also led to a decrease in activity on the Disney+ platform. Meanwhile, sources say that Marvel is committed to making each of its projects a true experience for fans and viewers. The studio has decided that a smarter strategy would be to spread the content out over time. The "X-Men '97" series, "What If...?", "Echo" and "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries", are among the projects that have received new release dates.

When We Can Expect It

So here's Marvel's updated schedule, according to sources:

As previously announced, the second season of "Loki" will be the only series to be released this autumn, it starts on Disney+ on October 6. The Season 2 trailer was the most-watched digital debut of any Disney+ series, and Season 1 remains the most-watched Marvel series on Disney+.

The second season of the Emmy Award-winning animated series "What If...?" will debut closer to Christmas, though it should be noted that it's not a holiday series. Like the comic book of the same name on which it is based, "What If...?" is an anthology looking at key moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what they might look like in different timelines. Originally, the show was scheduled for release in early 2023.

The Echo series, a spin-off of the popular Hawkeye, originally announced for November 2023, has now been pushed back to January 2024. This project, centred on a deaf Native American hero, is described as having a grittier and more realistic style than other Marvel series. All episodes will be available at the same time.

Next on the schedule will be "X-Men '97, " an animated series that is a spiritual and stylistic sequel to the classic 1990s series on Fox. Originally announced for 2021, the series was originally scheduled for release in autumn 2023, but will now launch in early 2024.

"Agatha", a spin-off of "WandaVision" starring Kathryn Hahn, was supposed to be released in winter 2023, but has now been pushed back to early autumn 2024, where it will pre-date the Halloween holiday. Originally, the series was titled "Agatha: House of Harkness", later changed to "Agatha: Coven of Chaos" before settling on "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries".

Also, "Ironheart" and "Daredevil: Born Again" have been rescheduled, but with no clear dates yet.
