A superhero without superpowers: Tek Knight from The Boys in the Gen V spin-off

The new series, which takes place in the same time period as the original series, will feature the character Tek Knight from The Boys comics, played by actor Derek Wilson.

Here's What We Know

A new character from The Boys comics has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming Gen V spin-off.

The series, which is set in Prime Video's The Boys universe, is about a group of students at Godolkin Superhero University uncovering a Vought-related conspiracy within the university. The spin-off will also feature familiar characters such as Ashley Barrett and Victoria Neuman. Now Entertainment Weekly confirms that superhero Tek Knight from The Boys comics will make his screen debut in Gen V.

A first look at Wilson in the role has also been unveiled:

What do we know about Tek Knight?

In The Boys comics, Tek Knight serves as a parody of Iron Man and Batman characters as he is a wealthy superhero who uses expensive machinery to complete his missions. Unlike other Superheroes, Tek Knight has no superpowers, meaning that he never used Compound V like other Vought-related heroes.

In the comics, Tek Knight is also shown to be a member of the Payback team, although the TV adaptation does not confirm this. It was originally thought that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would play the character in the fourth season of The Boys, given how secretive the actor's role in the series has been so far. But Wilson's choice finally reveals who will fill the role of Tek Knight, leaving the question of Morgan's role open.

It's still unclear what role Tek Knight will play in Gen V and how he will be connected to the mysterious experiments Godolkin is conducting on some students. However, in the comics, Tek Knight previously attended university, making his first appearance in the spin-off appropriate. Let's see what significance the Tek Knight character will gain in Gen V and how it might affect the events of The Boys' fourth season.
