The Marvels officially takes the place of Dune: Part Two in IMAX - new poster, trailer and release date
"The Marvel" is officially on course for IMAX screens. This news, the "Captain Marvel" sequel, was celebrated by the news with a release teaser and a set premiere date.
Here's What We Know
IMAX executives have confirmed that since "Dune: Part Two," which was originally scheduled to be released on November 3, 2023 and take up exclusive screenings for five to six weeks, has been pushed back to 14 March 2024, "The Marvels" will get the opportunity to occupy those screening days.
"There's another great movie coming out around that time, which is The Marvels from Marvel, and we can't play it because we are committed to Dune", IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond said during the financial report. "o, if Dune moves, we'll just go over to The Marvels, and having a Marvel movie as a backup is not the worst position to be in the world."

Due to the Hollywood strikes, fans are concerned that The Marvels release date will also be pushed back. While changes can happen at any time, the news of the IMAX release indicates that The Marvels has no intention of changing the release date. "There were earlier reports that Disney may delay several films due to the strikes, including Wish, Magazine Dreams and Next Goal Wins, but The Marvels was not included in that list."
"The biggest difference from the other MCU movies to date is that it's really wacky, and silly." explained director Nia DaCosta in a recent interview. "he worlds we go to in this movie are worlds unlike others you've seen in the MCU. Bright worlds that you haven't seen before."
In the second instalment of "Captain Marvel," Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is able to regain her previously lost identity, lost due to the insidious actions of the tyrants of the Kree. Carol discovers that her powers are linked to those of Monica Rambo and Kamala Khan, causing them to switch places with each other every time they use their superpowers. Now this trio must join forces and learn to act in harmony to save the universe as the Marvels.
When We Can Expect It
The Marvels will appear on IMAX screens on November 10.
