The trailer for MGM's Dark Harvest, the highly anticipated adaptation of Norman Partridge's best-selling novel, has been unveiled
MGM and Amazon are gearing up for the release of an anticipated horror film called "Dark Harvest" and are giving us a sneak peek at the first trailer for the film to see what to expect.
Here's What We Know
"Dark Harvest" is directed by David Slade and the project is based on the 2006 book of the same name written by Norman Partridge.
The film will star Elizabeth Reaser, Jeremy Davies and Emryi Crutchfield.
At this point, there is little information about the film's plot and how close it is to the original book, but we will get to see the long-awaited live-action debut of Reaper-Jack.
Here's the official synopsis for Dark Harvest:
"In a cursed town, the annual harvest turns into a brutal battle for survival. On Halloween 1963, Reaper-Jack, a terrifying legend, rises from the cornfields, threatening the town's children. Groups of boys band together to defeat the murderous scarecrow before midnight. Richie, a rebellious outcast, joins the race, motivated by his brother's victory. As the hunt progresses, Richie makes a shocking discovery and is faced with a solution to help interrupt this uninterrupted cycle of horror"
When We Can Expect It
"Dark Harvest" will be available for digital viewing starting October 13, but the film is also scheduled for one-night-only showings in theatres in the Alamo Drafthouse chain.
