The head of HBO, Casey Bloys, has revealed information about the production of new spin-offs on Game Of Thrones, including a standalone show about Jon Snow - one of the spin-offs is already in development
The head of HBO, Casey Bloys, has admitted that they have many "Game Of Thrones" spin-offs in development, in addition to the already realised "House of the Dragon". All of the shows are based on the works of George R. R. R.R. Martin (George R.R. Martin).
Here's What We Know
After the resounding success of "Game Of Thrones", HBO couldn't leave Westeros without development and, of course, started working on several more shows, including a spin-off about Jon Snow.
However, of all the projects currently in development, only a series called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, based on Martin's Dunk and Egg novels, has been officially ordered by HBO. Filming will begin in the spring of 2024.
"We always have Game of Thrones scripts in development. We greenlit Dunk and Egg in the spring. I wouldn’t say there is anything else in that world that is close to a green light or anything, but we are always working on different scripts and ideas."
Naturally, the sequel about Jon Snow is the most anticipated, as it involves the return of the Game Of Thrones cast, particularly Kit Harington as Snow. Other spin-offs of the original series in development include "10,000 Ships," which will tell the story of Princess Nymeria, and "The Sea Snake," which tells the story of Corlis Velarion's legendary travels.
Also, there are reports that "Flea Bottom" and "Bloodmoon" have been cancelled, and one of the spin-offs focusing on Aegon's Conquest was only announced earlier this year and has yet to be confirmed in any way.
What we can rest assured and look forward to is the second season of "House of the Dragon," which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2024.
