Megan Fox's husband, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, is set to land the role of Link in the upcoming film adaptation of the video game "The Legend of Zelda"
Unexpectedly...Machine Gun Kelly has expressed his desire to play the role of Link from The Legend of Zelda.
Here's What We Know
Kelly, also known as Colson Baker, is a fan of the video game franchise. Last year, he and his wife Megan Fox dressed up as Link and Zelda for Halloween.
-"if I don't play Link we have a problem."," Kelly wrote in his Instagram story, attaching a screenshot of the article with the official announcement.
Link, the protagonist of the Legend of Zelda franchise, is a sword-wielding elf who must save the magical land of Hyrule from Ganon, the dreaded demon king. The first game in the series was released in 1986, and the latest game was released earlier this year.
Despite his main fame in music, Baker has appeared in several films such as Bird Box, The Dirt (where he played the role of rock star Tommy Lee), Midnight in the Switchgrass (with Fox), and wrote, directed, produced and starred in his own comedy called Good Mourning.
Will this acting experience help him get cast as Link? We'll find out later, but you can place your bets already.
Nintendo has announced that Avid Arad, former owner of Marvel Comics and founder of Marvel Studios, will produce the film, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes director Wes Ball will direct.
When We Can Expect It
