Chris Pine is confident that 'Dungeons & Dragons' will definitely get a sequel and he would love to return to his role
Actor Chris Pine is confident that "Dungeons & Dragons 2" will become a reality.
Here's What We Know
Pine played the bard Edgin in "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves", which is out earlier this year and received positive reviews from critics. However, there has been absolutely no word on a sequel.
In a recent interview with GamesRadar+, which focused on Disney's upcoming film with Pine, "Wish," the subject of "Dungeons & Dragons" came up. The actor spoke about his hopes for the sequel and noted that he would love to return to his role:
"I've heard some rumors about it" he said of a possible sequel. "But I don't know anything yet. But I feel pretty confident that it may happen.". When asked if he's excited to return, Pine replies: "Absolutely".
Dungeons & Dragons captured the public's attention this year, and with the release of Honor Among Thieves in cinemas, Baldur's Gate 3 was a huge hit, winning most of the awards at the Golden Joystick 2023 ceremony, including the title of Game of the Year.
Honor Among Thieves was directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. The cast includes: Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Regé-Jean Page, and Daisy Head.
Given the vast world of "D&D," the prospects for a possible sequel seem endless. Here's hoping the cinematic franchise continues to delight audiences.
