'Star Wars' actress Daisy Ridley says the new film doesn't live up to her expectations
Star Wars sequel star Daisy Ridley has said that her next film set in a galaxy far, far away was not what she expected.
Here's What We Know
The upcoming film from director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is yet to be titled, but was announced at Star Wars 2023 Celebration as a sequel trilogy sequel.
It is known that Daisy Ridley will return as Rey, and the film is set about 15 years after the events of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."
Ridley said in a new interview with Collider that her return and what she knows about the film so far is not what she expected:
"I'm very excited. The story is really cool. I'm waiting to read a script because, obviously, I don't have any other updates. It's not what I expected, but I'm very excited."
While Ridley says the story is meant to be a single film, not a trilogy or another version of the extended narrative:
"I know the storyline for one film. That's not to say that that's all it is, but that's what I was told about. And I imagine it will be the next film, I think," the actor concluded. "I mean, again, I don't know, post strikes and everything, how quickly everything will start up again. But yes, so far, I know the story of one film and I think people will be very excited.".
