Jenna Ortega refuses to participate in Scream 7
According to reports, Jenna Ortega is not planning to participate in the seventh part of the long-awaited horror franchise "Scream", which could be a serious blow to the success of the film.
Here's What We Know
The reason for the actress' refusal to participate in "Scream 7" is most likely due to the conflict of the shooting schedule of the second season of "Wednesday".
Recently, the project fired Melissa Barrera, who wrote controversial and very aggressive posts in social networks about the war in the Middle East, which does not approve of the studio Spyglass. Now that Ortega has also left the project, the seventh instalment of "Scream" may lose its direction.
"Scream V" and "Scream VI" revived the iconic franchise. "Scream VI" became a record-breaker, earning more in the U.S. and Canada than any other instalment and reaching total numbers ($169 million worldwide on a $30 million budget) not seen since "Scream 2".
How and by whom the actresses will be replaced (and whether they will be replaced at all) we don't know yet, but hopefully the film's creators will find the perfect way out and present audiences with a seventh instalment that will be worthy of the previous ones.
