The first teaser for the second season of House of the Dragon has been released: the clip reveals new characters and, of course, an epic moment with dragons

A few hours ago, a truly long-awaited event happened - the debut teaser of the second season of "House of the Dragon" was released.
Here's What We Know
"The war will be fought, many will die, and the victor will eventually ascend the throne", promises Alicent Hightower, giving us an idea of how violent the events will be.
The teaser sees the return of all the main characters - Emma D'Arcy as Raynera Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower and Matt Smith as Damon Targaryen - who are all on the brink of war after the events of season one.
Also, new characters are introduced and, of course, an epic moment with dragons.
Newcomers include Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, Freddie Fox as Alicent Ser's brother Gwaine Hightower, Gayle Rankin as the possibly witch Alice Rivers, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong - Laris' uncle - and Abubakar Salim as Sailor Alyn of Hull.
As a reminder, the second season will be a little shorter than the first, but the creators promise it will be just as much, if not more, of an extravaganza.
When We Can Expect It
The exact date of release of "Dance of the Dragons" has not yet been named. Tentatively - the summer of 2024.
