It is reported that filming for the final season of Stranger Things will begin as early as January
As recently as last month, Stranger Things actor David Harbour hinted that filming on the show's final season was about to begin. Now, according to a report from Deadline, a filming start date has been set for 8 January.
Here's What We Know
At this point, the date announced is tentative. Earlier it was named 5 January, but now several sources have confirmed that it is 8 January - the expected date of the beginning of filming.
Also, it was reported that part of the cast has already arrived in Atlanta, which embodies on the screen the fictional Hawkins, Indiana, where the events of the show develop.
Harbour has promised fans that they will give us the kind of show finale we've come to expect. The actor assures that the final season will be top-notch, and if it is not, he urges to write complaints and petitions. It looks like Harbour really believes in what he's doing.
Stranger Things creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, recently admitted that their concept for season five is tear-inducing:
"We do have an outline for season 5 and we pitched it to Netflix and they really responded well to it. I mean, it was hard. It's the end of the story. I saw executives crying who I've never seen cry before and it was wild. And it's not just to do with the story, just the fact that it's like, Oh my God, this thing that has defined so many of our lives, these Netflix people who has been with us from the beginning, seven years now, and it's hard to imagine the journey coming to an end."
