The 'Rick and Morty' director has revealed his plans for a 10-season saga
As the show prepares to premiere the final episode of season seven on Adult Swim, director Scott Marder has shared details about his plan for the entire saga, which spans ten seasons.
Here's What We Know
"Rick and Morty" fans have noticed that the last few seasons of the show consist of episodes connected to each other plot-wise, unlike the first few seasons where there was little to no connection between episodes. Season seven is the most cohesive in that regard and is filled with hints of the future.
In a recent interview, Marder revealed that creating a cohesive story was thought of for a reason and that there is already a plan in place for a ten-season saga:
"I can't tease a lot. I can tell you we're in the middle of writing season nine" - he stated, when asked about the future after the seventh season is over. - "I can tell you that we've already got a couple ideas for Season 10 that are already kind of pinned. There is a full plan for a full 10 season saga. So if people are on board with what we've been doing the past couple seasons, we're intending to give them more of that. But there are certainly arcs and cool things and big surprises in store."
Judging by the reviews, fans are very appreciative of the development of a cohesive storyline, and after the major conflict between Rick Prim and Evil Morty this season, it seems that a major groundwork has been prepared for future events.
