The digital release date for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has been revealed
Great news for those who haven't had a chance to see The Hunger Games prequel in cinemas. It became known the date when you can plunge into the world of Panem from the comfort of your own home.
Here's What We Know
Just over a month after The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes premiered in cinemas, Lionsgate have announced that the film will be released in Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) format in the US on 19 December.
It will cost $24.99 to purchase or $19.99 to rent (for 48 hours) on popular digital platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV.
Here's What The Movie Is About
Based on the best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is the first in The Hunger Games film chronology, taking place 64 years before the adventures of Katniss Everdeen. The plot of the film follows a young Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blyth and Lucy Gray Baird, incarnated by Rachel Zegler, during the 10th Hunger Games.
The prequel became the longest film in the series, clocking in at 2 hours and 38 minutes and grossed just over $300 million worldwide in cinemas, while receiving mixed reviews from critics.
