The mad and terrifying vampire hunter, Willem Defoe, in fresh footage from the upcoming "Nosferatu"
In the upcoming 'Nosferatu', Willem Dafoe plays the role of a "mad vampire hunter" named Professor Albin Eberhart von Franz, and now we can see him in that character surrounded by flames thanks to a freshly released still from the film.

Defoe's character is also featured in the 1922 F.W. Murnau film that Eggers' film is based on, but the director stressed that he gave the character a more "crazy" connotation.
Interestingly, Defoe himself described his character as "someone like Van Helsing".
Here's What The Movie Is About
The official synopsis of the film promises "a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.".
"Nosferatu" stars Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney and Defoe himself.
When We Can Expect It
"Nosferatu" is set for release on 25 December 2024.
