The plot of the second season of "What If...?" made changes to the plot of Captain America: The Winter Soldier
The new episode of "What If...?" features a new Winter Soldier - HYDRA Stomper.
Here's What We Know
Marvel's What If...? is nearing the end of its second season, which has crisscrossed the multiverse, telling stories from Marvel's 1602 era to plots that cover one of the most controversial Iron Man moments in comics.
The latest series made changes to one of the most popular films in the MCU, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
In the episode "What If... Captain Carter Fought the Hydra Stomper?" it's not Bucky Barnes who becomes a manipulated cyborg assassin under the guidance of known spy groups. Instead, it is Steve Rogers who ends up in the HYDRA Stomper armour.
The plot describes Captain Carter and Black Widow clashing with Rogers in his Iron Man-inspired armoured suit. They eventually discover that he was manipulated and trained by the Red Room, the same organisation that turned Natasha Romanoff into one of the most skilled assassins in the franchise.
