"The Last of Us" star, Nick Offerman, has declassified plans for a spin-off starring the characters of Bill and Frank
Nick Offerman, who played the role of Bill in "The Last of Us" series, has intrigued with information about the creation of a spin-off featuring the characters of Bill and Frank.
Here's What We Know
Offerman shared that he and Murray Bartlett, who plays Frank, collaborated on ideas for a spin-off featuring their characters from The Last of Us, Bill and Frank, when asked if they would be returning for season two.
"It certainly has been pitched. I think we pitched a whole miniseries of a prequel of their lives before they met each other", Offerman told Deadline. "It could be a musical. We’re not short on ideas. We’ll just we’ll see what Craig [Mazin] and Neil [Druckmann] come up with", he joked.
On the show, Bill is a misanthrope living in isolation during the apocalypse, until his path crossed with Frank. Their love story was told in the third episode of The Last of Us. The characters played small roles in the video game of the same name, but the television series revealed their characters, using the episode to describe their meeting and blossoming romantic relationship before their ultimate fates.
What exactly the spin-off might tell us is not yet clear, as the third episode basically told the entire story of Bill and Frank as a couple. Perhaps the plot will tell about their lives before they met or reveal more details about their relationship.
As for the second season of "The Last of Us," we should expect it in 2025 at the earliest. An exact release date has not yet been set.
